Glenn Hoddle has said on BT Sport 1 (8:17pm, May 7, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur central defender Cristian Romero has a mistake in him.
The former Tottenham star made the comments about Romero while watching the Argentina international central defender in action for Spurs against Liverpool away from home at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The 24-year-old has a few bad moments in the Premier League game, especially in the first half.
However, Romero did well in the second period and stepped up his game.

Hoddle said about Romero on BT Sport 1 (8:17pm, May 7, 2022): “He is such a good player, Romero, but there is a mistake in him.
“Every game I see him, he is fantastic defensively, reads the game well, but there is a little bit of lack of concentration. Every game you see it.”
Too harsh?
In our opinion, Romero has been superb for Tottenham and we should not be too harsh on him.
The Argentine is still only 24, which means that he is not the finished article.
Yes, Romero makes mistakes from time to time and did not have a great first half against Liverpool, but he is arguably the best centre-back at Tottenham at the moment.

We believe that Romero will get better in the coming years and will improve his game.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, and for that quest to be successful, in our view, Romero will play a big role in the final games.
