Tanguy Ndombele leaving Tottenham Hotspur is looking increasingly likely, it has to be said.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Villarreal were interested in signing the France international.
Ndombele cost Tottenham over £50 million under Mauricio Pochettino three years ago but he hasn’t proven himself a successful signing by any means.
The second half of last season was spent on loan back at Lyon and Roma boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly also keen on the player.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, there’s a new party interested now, too.
The reliable Italian journalist has revealed that Napoli have thrown their hat in the ring in trying to bring the powerful and silky French midfielder to Italy.
In a late-night tweet posted on Tuesday, Romano said:

Is Tanguy Ndombele leaving Tottenham Hotspur?
In a word, definitely.
Everyone knows Antonio Conte has zero tolerance for those who aren’t a thousand percent invested in what he’s trying to achieve at Tottenham.
And despite having an abundance of talent and ability, Ndombele has never given off the energy of somebody who’s wholly and absolutely committed to Spurs every single week.
That’s the mentality which almost guarantees that Conte and Fabio Paratici will find some sort of exit for Ndombele this summer, even if it’s only a loan to begin with.
It’s unfortunate because, as mentioned, this is a fantastic footballer on his day, but it isn’t his day very often and for that reason, yes a departure before September is definite.
