If Tottenham Hotspur are genuinely interested in Adama Traore, a summer transfer is very possible.

Alasdair Gold of Football London reported last week that Tottenham were still keen on the Spain international.

Spurs tried to sign Traore during the January transfer window but the player snubbed a move to North London in favour of joining Barcelona on loan.

However, the Wolverhampton Wanderers-owned attacker is now struggling at Camp Nou.

And Fabrizio Romano has claimed via Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel that Barcelona won’t be signing Traore on a permanent basis – and that, in theory, could open the door for Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte at Hotspur Way.

Romano said: “Adama Traore has a good chance to come back to Wolves. Barcelona won’t pay €30 million buyout clause. They won’t pay any money for Adama Traore.”

If Barcelona don’t value him enough to spend £25 million Traore, and if Wolves don’t want him, then you would think that a transfer to Tottenham is distinctly possible.

Again, this hinges on whether Paratici and Conte still want the player in N17.

But we do know for certain that they tried to sign Traore in January and if the Tottenham pair were interested then, renewed interest is logical.

Of course, they now have Dejan Kulusevski, who plays a similar role as Traore, but there’s also speculation about Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura leaving North London and therefore the Italian pair are going to need addtitional wide support this summer.
