Man City defensive midfielder, Rodri has lavished praise on to Harry Kane, ahead of his side’s upcoming clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

Pep Guardiola’s side have the chance to cut down the gap against Cristian Stellini’s men at the top of the Premier League table to just 2 points, after Arsenal suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Everton, albeit having played an extra game.

In the build-up to the much-awaited contest between Tottenham and Man City on Super Sunday, Rodri has reserved special praise for Harry Kane.

Man City star Rodri was full of praise for Tottenham striker Harry Kane

Ahead of the contest between Man City and Tottenham, Rodri was quoted by the Daily Mirror, saying, “I think [Erling Haaland and Harry Kane] are 2 of the greatest strikers in the Premier League right now.”

“Kane is a top player, a great player. He has been at the highest level for 10 years, in my opinion. I just enjoy watching him because he understands the game in the same way.”

“Not only scoring goals but trying to improve the game for the team, dropping deep in situations. He is a very clever player.”

Real recognize real

Whilst both teams will be raring to get a win on the weekend, the £62.8 million (ITV) midfielder has shown a touch of class by appreciating a player of the stature of the Spurs legend.

Ultimately, Tottenham poster boy Harry Kane deserves all the praise in the world, as the detractors cannot take away from the fact that his peers such as Man City ace Rodri rate him as highly as they do.

The 29-year-old is simply one of, if the not the most well-rounded striker in the world.

From scoring goals for fun to setting up chances for his teammates, the England captain can do it all and his opponents have no shame in admitting that, as Pep Guardiola also recently hailed him as ‘one of the best strikers he has ever seen’ in his life.
