Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Roberto Firmino may not feature against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Premier League club Liverpool will take on defending Italian champions Inter at Anfield in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie.
The Reds are 2-0 up from the first leg.
Klopp has said that Brazil international forward Firmino may not play against Inter.
Firmino has not played for Liverpool since the first leg against Inter at San Siro because of a muscle injury.
Klopp said about Firmino on Monday: “With Bobby, it was longer out, it was [his] first session, so we have to see if we have to stress that or if it makes probably sense to give him just a few more days with proper training.
“Because we obviously don’t train properly today, it’s a minus-one session, it’s tactical stuff, not high intensity and Bobby might need something else. We will see that.”

No need for Roberto Firmino for Liverpool v Inter Milan
In our view, against Inter, there is no need for Klopp to take any risk with Firmino, a player he described as “world class” in March 2020 in Goal.
Now, of course, a player of Firmino’s quality would be a very good option for Klopp to have on the bench.
However, Liverpool are 2-0 up from the first leg, and it is unlikely that they will concede three goals at Anfield.
Moreover, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz all are fit and firing.
So, in our opinion, Liverpool do not need Firmino.
