Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Roberto Firmino will not play against West Ham United, but the Brazilian could be back against Inter Milan.
Klopp’s Liverpool will take on West Ham at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Reds will then face defending Italian champions Inter at Anfield in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie.
Liverpool won the first leg 2-0 at San Siro last month.
Firmino has missed the past five games due to a groin injury.
Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Bobby is looking good but not good enough for the weekend.
“I think the plan is that he trains on Sunday, first time. That sounds then doable for Tuesday.”

Positive update
In our view, Klopp’s comments on Firmino are very positive for Liverpool.
Yes, the Brazil international forward will not play against West Ham, but the 30-year-old could be back against Inter.
Liverpool are on a roll at the moment, and the Reds are likely to win against the Hammers.
Now, we do not think that Firmino will start against Inter if he recovers, but even having the player Klopp described as “world class” in March 2020 in Goal on the bench would be a good option to have.
