Robert MacIntyre caused real controversy at The Masters last week with his poor behavior during round one at Augusta National.
MacIntyre missed the cut at The Masters after rounds of 80 and 71.
However, the 29-year-old Scot bounced back at the RBC Heritage on Thursday, firing a round of five-under-par 66.
After his round, MacIntyre broke his silence after ducking out of media duties at Augusta National following his missed cut at The Masters.

MacIntyre was reprimanded by Augusta National officials after he flipped up his middle finger in the direction of the cameras on the 15th hole.
He also received huge criticism for smashing his club into the ground on the 14th and 17th holes.
Now MacIntyre has finally broken his silence on the matter.
Robert MacIntyre speaks out after Augusta National controversy
MacIntyre spoke to Sky Sports’ Nick Dougherty after his opening round at Harbour Town on Thursday.
And he responded when asked about his poor behavior at Augusta National last week.
“Yeah, look, I know what I’ve done isn’t the best way of me doing things, but look, I wear my heart on my sleeve,“ MacIntyre said.
“I’m trying my best to control the emotions. I work with someone back home.

“Yeah, there’s a lot going on and disappointed with that, but I’m very good at putting things behind me.
“I don’t like things that get said elsewhere, that doesn’t faze me.
“I just come out here. I’ve got my family, friends and my team, these guys are the ones that I really listen to and, you know, if I’ve done something wrong, they’ll tell me.
“I do what I want to, how we want, not just personally, but with family and friends, and we go about our business the way we want to.
“You know some people like it, some people don’t.
“At the end of the day, it’s a job, and I try and come out here and perform the best I can.“
Robert MacIntyre’s verdict on shooting 65 at the RBC Heritage
MacIntyre was asked by reporters how he feels about his game right now after his opening round at Harbour Town Golf Links.
“Yeah, look, coming off last week and a disappointing performance, I was comfortable with the golf course,“ the Scot said.
“It suits my game, I’ve been in good shape, so try to put as much of last week behind me as I could.
“And yeah, just overall, I’m driving it well. I’m driving it beautifully off the tee.
“I’m being aggressive off the tee, which gives me a lot of wedges around here so, yeah.
“I didn’t take many chances in the middle part of the round which was disappointing, but five-under-par is always a good start.“
With The Masters now firmly in Robert Macintyre’s rearview mirror, he will be hoping for a successful week at the RBC Heritage.
