Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton have given their verdict on who will finish fourth – Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur or Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are in the running for the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Spurs are fifth in the league table at the moment with 50 points from 26 matches. Ange Postecoglou’s side are six points above Manchester United, who are sixth.

Villa are fourth now with 55 points from 27 games. Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are the three sides who are aiming to win the Premier League title.

Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton comment on Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa

Former Derby County star Robbie Savage has backed Spurs to end up in the top four ahead of Villa, but fellow BBC Sport pundit and ex-Villan Chris Sutton thinks that Unai Emery’s side will get into the UEFA Champions League places.

Savage said on BBC 606: “Spurs or Villa for me. Spurs or Villa. Man United are out of it. I will just edge for Spurs, just.”

Sutton said: “Villa are in the box season, aren’t they? So, Villa.”

My View: Tottenham Hotspur will beat Aston Villa to fourth

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur will beat Aston Villa to the fourth spot in the Premier League table this season.

I think that Spurs will get back into the UEFA Champions League places. They will pip Villa to the fourth spot.

Tottenham have better players. James Maddison is one of the best playmakers in England, Cristian Romero is one of the best centre-backs around and Son Heung-min is one of the best forwards in Europe.

Yes, Villa are playing well at the moment and we know that Unai Emery is very good at making good teams brilliant, but in the end, Tottenham’s superior quality will show.
