Arsenal fans have stuck up for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold after his display for England last night.
What’s the story?
Alexander-Arnold claimed three assists in England’s 10-0 win over San Marino as he produced on the international stage.
The Liverpool full-back hasn’t always been one of Gareth Southgate’s most trusted players, much to the frustration of Reds fans.
And even Arsenal supporters are now suggesting that Alexander-Arnold deserves more credit at international level.
Saturday meet up
It may have helped Alexander-Arnold’s standing among Gunners supporters that he was the man to set up Bukayo Saka.
But it was interesting to see so many Arsenal fans recognising Alexander-Arnold’s quality last night as they will be up against it on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta’s side are set to travel to Anfield at the weekend in what looks like a huge game for both sides.

Arsenal go into the game with real confidence, having gone unbeaten in their last 10 outings, while Liverpool have come unstuck slightly in recent weeks.
If Arsenal are able to beat Liverpool they will actually move above them in the Premier League table.
However, Alexander-Arnold and his teammates will be doing everything in their power to get back to winning ways.
That is a scary thought for Arsenal, with their supporters knowing just how good the Liverpool full-back is, and the Gunners backline will have to be at their very best if they are to combat his threat.
