Rangers could have the league wrapped up by the time the two sides face each other later this month

Ally McCoist enjoyed himself at Celtic Park on numerous occasions as a player, and as a pundit he’s now looking forward to Rangers making some more memories at the home of their rivals.
Alfredo Morelos’ late winner against Livingston on Wednesday night has put the Ibrox side just four points away from glory, and the title race could be over as soon as Sunday.
A win for Rangers against St Mirren at Ibrox on Saturday followed by anything less than victory for Celtic against Dundee United at Tannadice the following day would make it mathematically impossible for Steven Gerrard’s men to be caught.
If Rangers don’t secure a better result than their rivals, they will have the opportunity to be crowned champions at Celtic Park in the derby on March 21.

Should the league be over before that match, however, Celtic would face the prospect of providing an excruciating guard of honour for the champions.
It’s a possibility that appeals considerably more to McCoist than to his talkSPORT colleague Alan Brazil, as was evident on Thursday morning.
McCoist said: “If Rangers win on Saturday and Celtic don’t beat Dundee United, it’ll be the guard of honour at Parkhead I think.”
Celtic fan Alan Brazil responded: “Ach, away you go. No guard of honour. You are having a laugh.”
McCoist added: “You’ve got to do that! You’ve got to show a bit of respect for the champions.”

Gerrard may have to watch the derby from the stand, after being shown two yellow cards at half-time on Wednesday night by referee John Beaton.
The manager was unimpressed with Beaton’s decision to book Morelos for diving, and replays backed up Gerrard’s assertion that the striker had been fouled by Max Stryjek.
