Tottenham Hotspur’s Antonio Conte has already impressed staff at Hotspur Way with just how respectful he is being towards everyone at the club since taking charge, the Athletic say.
Impressive start
Conte has apparently been very welcoming to every member of staff during his initial time in charge – and his approach is going down well at Tottenham.
The Italian has only taken charge of two Spurs games, but he quickly has made an impact.
It was noticed that after the first game he took charge of against Vitesse, just before walking down the tunnel, he shook hands with a number of Tottenham’s younger supporters.
This friendly approach has also been seen on the training ground, where he has been welcoming the club’s staff.
Tottenham actually were given a scare in Conte’s first game, as they raced into a 3-0 lead, only to see it almost evaporate before half-time.
Vitesse pulled two goals back on that occasion, but were unable to score again, even after the Lilywhites were reduced to 10 men.
Conte wasn’t entirely pleased with what he saw, but the fact that he still had time for the fans shows how eager he is to build a relationship with the club’s supporters.

A big change
During Nuno’s time in charge there was often a criticism of him that he wasn’t charismatic enough for the role, at least in public.
Nuno cut a rather dour figure on the touchline and was never particularly inspiring in interviews
Conte has already been markedly different in that regard, and his approach has really got supporters at Spurs excited.
Tottenham may have still struggled against Everton in Conte’s first Premier League match in charge.
However, a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park is still a credible result and there were patterns of play which were encouraging to see.
Tottenham could actually have won the game had Giovani Lo Celso’s long-range shot in the final minutes not cannoned off the post.
And it is expected that Spurs will look an even more well drilled outfit after the international break, when many of their players will have had a fortnight to work on their new system at Hotspur Way.
