According to Calciomercato, West Ham have been offered the chance to sign Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenković.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe David Moyes has been offered the chance to sign the 23-year-old, who’s drawn comparisons to Nemanja Vidić.
Interestingly, an earlier report claimed that West Ham were actually preparing a £26 million bid for the Serbian, who is a target of theirs.
Whether that means the east Londoners have had a stroke of luck, and have been offered Milenković before having a chance to submit the offer, is a mystery.
However, it’s hugely encouraging to hear that West Ham have been offered a player they’ve been heavily linked with in 2021.
Calciomercato believe Fiorentina are happy to let him go, for a sum in the region of €15 million – €20 million (£13 million – £17 million).

Calciomercato add that Fiorentina have offered him a new contract worth €800,000-a-year (£13,000-a-week) but Milenković has rejected it.
Watch out for Liverpool and Tottenham
Interestingly, Calciomercato do not mention anything about Liverpool or Tottenham receiving the same offer.
There has been talk of both Spurs and Jürgen Klopp’s side making contact with Fiorentina over Milenković’s availability.

Tottenham’s new Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, is said to admire the Fiorentina No.4, and wants him in north London.
In that respect, West Ham better take Fiorentina up on their offer, before the competition for Milenković becomes too intense.
