According to The Sun, Arsenal are set to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, despite interest from Tottenham and West Ham.
What’s the story?
Well, all three London clubs are keen to sign the 6-cap England international.
However, Chelsea’s £40m asking price has proven to be too steep.
The Sun believe West Ham got fairly close to that figure, offering £30m. However, the Blues rejected the bid.
Now, Arsenal look set to win the race, by initially signing Abraham on loan from Stamford Bridge.
Then, Mikel Arteta’s side will be obligated to sign him permanently next summer, on the basis that he makes a certain amount of appearances.
Chelsea want Romelu Lukaku or Erling Braut Håland, so removing Abraham’s £80,000-a-week wages would help significantly.
Tammy Abraham would thrive at Arsenal

In our view, Arsenal and Abraham are a good fit.
The 23-year-old would be playing with fellow London prospects in Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.
Abraham is also an Arsenal fan, so he should have no issues finding motivation to succeed.

Interestingly, Willian believes the Chelsea No.9 could be even better than Fernando Torres.
In our view, this would be a great move for the Gunners, and a significant upgrade on Alexandre Lacazette.
