According to Alan Nixon on his Patreon, West Ham United have made what is described as a ‘serious approach’ for Harry Maguire.
The England star is very much out of favour at Manchester United at the moment, and the Hammers are keen to bring him to the London Stadium as they look to bolster their defence.
West Ham have been struggling at the back this season, and they want Maguire to strengthen their backline.
The Hammers have already had a response on this front, and unfortunately, it’s not good news for David Moyes’ side.

Manchester United are adamant that they want to keep the centre-back for the remainder of this season and have knocked back West Ham’s advances.
Maguire himself is happy to wait for his chance at Old Trafford, even though he knows that means he’ll have to bide his time in the coming months.
However, the ‘incredible’ defender is open to reviewing his future in the summer, and all signs point towards a move away from Manchester in the summer window.
Maguire clearly isn’t fancied by Erik Ten Hag, and he does still have a lot to offer in the Premier League as he showed with his solid performances for England at the World Cup in the winter.
Whether or not West Ham revisit this one at the end of the season remains to be seen, but one has to imagine that any potential summer move would hinge on the London club’s Premier League status as they look to stave off the very real threat of Premier League relegation this season.
Make no mistake about it, David Moyes’ side are in a relegation battle, and they can kiss goodbye to any idea of signing Maguire at the end of the season if they do end up in the Championship next year.
