McInnes played for both West Bromwich Albion and Rangers, spending three years at the Hawthorns and five at Ibrox.

West Bromwich Albion are expected to ask permission to speak with alleged Rangers target Derek McInnes this week, according to the Scottish Sun.
West Brom sacked Tony Pulis on Monday and are said to have a list of targets with whom they wish to hold talks before appointing the Welshman’s successor.

McInnes it is claimed is one of those, having impressed as manager of Aberdeen.
The 46-year-old is already known to the Baggies, having played for them for three seasons.
But another of his old clubs, Rangers, have also been linked with his services, although Aberdeen’s alleged £750,000 demands appear to have cooled the interest from Ibrox.

The Irish Sun reported on Monday however, that West Brom are keen to appoint a manager with prior Premier League experience, which could offer fresh hope to Rangers.
