Hoolahan left Norwich City after 10 years last month.

Wigan Athletic have offered a Championship return to Wes Hoolahan, following the Irishman’s departure from Norwich City, according to the Irish Sun.
The newspaper claims Hoolahan is assessing his options at home in Dublin, after his 10-year Norwich career officially came to an end in June.
And it adds that a return to the United Kingdom is likely for the 36-year-old, in whom Birmingham City were also credited with interest by the Irish Sun in April.
Whether the Blues are still keen on Hoolahan remains to be seen, with a transfer embargo understood to have been imposed at St Andrew’s.

And Wigan could have the upper hand anyway, given that Hoolahan spent two years in the north west as a Blackpool player earlier in his career.
Despite his age, the stats suggest Hoolahan would still be a useful addition for most second tier sides, having scored or assisted 71 goals in 215 games at that level.
18 of those arrived the season before last at Norwich, although Hoolahan only featured sparingly following Daniel Farke’s appointment a year ago.
Would the former Norwich man be a good addition for Wigan?
