Could Hoolahan end up at Birmingham City after announcing his Norwich City departure on Monday?

Birmingham City are ‘thought to be one of the clubs leading the chase’ to sign departing Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan, according to the Irish Sun.
Hoolahan will play his final game for Norwich against Leeds United this weekend, having announced his exit after nearly a decade of service on Monday.
But despite speculation linking the Irishman with a return to his homeland, the report claims a move to another Championship is the most likely outcome.
And Birmingham could be the beneficiaries – assuming the Blues avoid relegation this season.

Age concern?
Despite his age – Hoolahan turns 36 in less than a month’s time – the former Blackpool player would still be a useful addition for most second tier sides, having scored or assisted 71 goals in 215 games at that level.
18 of those arrived last season at Norwich, although Hoolahan has only featured sparingly since Daniel Farke’s summer appointment.
Would Hoolahan be a good addition for Birmingham City?
