Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton has told Give Me Sport that reported Newcastle United summer transfer target Jack Harrison is happy at Leeds United FC.

Leeds winger Harrison has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail reported last week that Newcastle are considering making a bid for the 25-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder.

Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe reportedly admires the English player – described as “very, very skilful” by former Leeds and Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane on Sky Sports Premier League (5:23pm, November 21, 2022) – for his attitude and work ethic.

Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton told Give Me Sport: “I would expect him to stay. There have been conversations; there’s been interest.

“There was a bit of interest back in the January transfer window as well, but I think Jack’s happy at Leeds. His stats are good, his goals record; his assists.”

Could Jack Harrison leave Leeds United for Newcastle United?

In our view, Leeds United are unlikely to sell Jack Harrison in the summer transfer window – to Newcastle United or any other club.

Unless, of course, the West Yorkshire club are offered a ridiculous transfer fee.

Leeds have already sold midfielder Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City this summer, and Brazilian winger Raphinha is reportedly on his way to Barcelona.

Losing Harrison would be another blow for Leeds, especially as he is one of the best players in the team and has his best years ahead of him.

Harrison has scored 16 goals and created 13 big chances in 71 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
