According to Goal, Sadio Mane is ‘relaxed’ about his Liverpool contract situation, but the Reds are further from striking a deal with the Senegalese winger than they are with Mo Salah.
Indeed, Goal state that the trail is even colder with Mane than it is with Salah, but with the winger being ‘relaxed’ it seems as though there isn’t any rush to get this situation sorted – at least not from the player’s side.
Mane is in an interesting situation with the Reds. He remains one of their best players, but at the age of 30, his market value will only decline from here on in, and with Luis Diaz’s arrival, he now has some direct competition on the left wing.
Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told the board at Liverpool to get Mane’s contract sorted, but with separate reports claiming that the Premier League Golden Boot winner wants a massive contract like Mohamed Salah, a deal may be tough to strike.
Mane has already been linked to Inter Milan in recent months, and if a player of his quality comes onto the market, there will certainly be no shortage of suitors.
Liverpool have a few big decisions to make this summer, and while Salah’s situation is grabbing all of the headlines at the minute, Mane is another ‘unbelievable’ player whose future is far from certain.
