Villarreal are interested in signing Hector Bellerin from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The SkySport journalist has claimed on his website that Unai Emery’s Villarreal are looking to sign the Arsenal right-back this summer.

Sevilla are also claimed to be keen on the 26-year-old Spanish defender, according to the report.

The report has added that the former Barcelona prospect will leave Arsenal this summer and will bring his association with the North London club to an end.

Hector Bellerin reunited with Unai Emery?

Bellerin worked with Villarreal manager Emery at Arsenal.

The Spaniard had a very good relationship with the former Paris Saint-Germain boss.

Villarreal won the Europa League this past season and will play in the Champions League in 2021-22.

Emery is a very good manager, and working with the Spaniard in Spain could be appealing to Bellerin.

Moreover, the right-back will also be able to play in the Champions League again.

Arsenal will not even play in the Europa League next season.

If Arsenal get a suitable offer from Villarreal, then it would not be a surprise if the North London club decide to accept it.

Arsenal technical director Edu is reportedly planning to rake in £60 million from player sales this summer.

Bellerin’s exit could help with that.
