Joe Rodon and Dele Alli were punished in Tottenham Hotspur training yesterday and made to do extra press-ups, after losing during a passing exercise, Football London report.
Losing team
Tottenham’s players were set up in a circle, with Alli and Rodon in the middle, and the aim was to complete 20 passes.
If the players in the middle get a touch, they swap places with the player who gives the ball away.
However, if the players around the circle can manage to string 20 passes together without any touch from the defensive pair, then they effectively win the game.
Unfortunately for Rodon and Alli that is exactly what happened to them.
They were unable to get a touch on one of their teammate’s passes, and their failure to do so ultimately meant that they were left doing extra fitness work.
Rodon and Alli were forced to do 20 press-ups, which is no easy task after the running required from the defensive pair during the exercise.
Needing to impress
If ever two players needed to impress in Tottenham training it is Rodon and Alli.

The Times have claimed this week that they could both be sold by Antonio Conte in January.
Both of them have struggled for game time during Conte’s time in charge so far.
They have both started just one game – which was Tottenham’s disastrous defeat to NS Mura in the Conference League.
It is now a long time since Alli was a regular starter for Spurs, while Rodon never has been.
And it may be best for all parties if they do move on in the new year, given the limited impact that they have made in recent times.
