Paul Robinson has stated that the futures of Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele are ‘under serious threat’, as he told the Football Show on Sky Sports.
The former England goalkeeper started that someone like Alli needs to ‘get away’ from Spurs.
It has been a rocky number of years for the goalscoring midfielder, who has gone from being an England World Cup semi-finalist to a forgotten player that has now struggled under three coaches.
It all started towards the back end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign, before he picked himself up during the early years of Jose Mourinho.
But before he knew it, he was out of the picture with Mourinho and struggled even further under the recently-sacked Nuno Espirito Santo.
Given Alli’s situation, Robinson made it clear that it’s time for the former MK Dons player to leave alongside Tottenham’s club-record signing.
“I think there are a couple of players at Spurs who are under scrutiny, at the minute,” said Robinson. “Dele’s one of them.
“We forget how young he is. He’s still only 25. I have said for a while now that I think he needs a new challenge. He needs to get away from the club and get a fresh start.
“I think the way Conte wants to play, the system we have seen him play, I think Alli, along with Ndombele, are under serious threat about staying at the club.”

Despite years of stagnation, like under every new coach, Alli will get another chance to showcase his worth.
But this time around, he might only get a few weeks to get into Antonio Conte’s good books, and in truth, he didn’t help himself last time out.
He struggled during Tottenham’s embarrassing Europa League Conference defeat to NS Mura.
That performance from Alli just indicated where he is at and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is out of the door in January.
