Mahmoud Dahoud is keen to agree on a new contract with Borussia Dortmund, per Kicker, amid interest from Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in a summer transfer.
Dortmund are speaking with the German over a new deal at the Westfalenstadion with his current terms expiring next year. Both parties want to extend their time together, but are yet to find total agreement on the terms.
Dahoud met with Dortmund chiefs on Monday after returning to the Bundesliga side for pre-season training. And a further meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, which is expected to offer greater clarity over the likelihood of the 25-year-old putting pen to paper.

Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham will all be paying close attention to Dahoud and his talks with Dortmund. The Daily Mail noted in March that Pep Guardiola’s Citizens were among the frontrunners for a summer transfer with Chelsea.
Everton and Tottenham are also monitoring the £69,000-per-week star, who Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel knows well. The German signed him while still Dortmund boss in 2017 from Borussia Monchengladbach. Chelsea and Manchester City were also keen at the time.
But the Blues, Sky Blues, Spurs and Toffees are likely to miss out on a deal for the two-cap international. Dahoud’s first interaction with new Dortmund coach Marco Rose was positive as the former Gladbach boss set out his plans for the midfielder.
That was key for Dahoud if the Dortmund midfielder is to sign a new contract and ignore interest from Tottenham, Manchester City or Everton. Kicker also note the Gladbach product had interest from Ligue 1. Yet new terms seem the order of business in Germany.
Manchester City, Tottenham to miss out on silky Dortmund star Dahoud
Manchester City, Tottenham and Everton could miss out on a silky star if Dahoud signs a new contract with Dortmund. Obviously, it will not rule out a transfer, but it will protect his value and rule out a bargain deal.
Either of the trio of Premier League clubs would no doubt like to have a player of the German’s ability. Dahoud’s time at Dortmund had mostly been a mixed bunch until 2021, when he turned a corner under interim coach Edin Terzic.
The Syria-born midfielder delivered a string of driven performances from the engine room. He also scored his first career Champions League in February to help beat Sevilla 5-4 on aggregate. His ability to cover ground was also impressive, and moves the ball well at speed.
