Tottenham prospect Tobi Omole is yet to decide on whether to sign a new contract with the north London club, with the 22-year-old’s current deal expiring this summer.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, an offer is on the table for the Brockley-born defender to commit his future to the north London club, however, Omole is yet to decide on whether to stay with Tottenham.

As per the report, Tottenham are pleased with how the youngster has developed this season, though Omole is yet to play a single minute of first-team football at Tottenham under Antonio Conte or since joining the club in 2020.

Spurs signed the left-sided defender from north London rivals Arsenal after Omole left the club at the end of his contract at 20-years-old, with the defender exclusively playing youth-level football.

An ever-present for Tottenham’s Premier League 2 development squad, Omole has impressed for the U-23s this season. However, the reluctance to sign a new contract could be down to a severe lack of first-team minutes for the north London side.

At 22, many players Omole’s age or younger have already made their debuts for Tottenham after coming through at academy level, and the defender could be open to leaving the club in search of first-team minutes elsewhere.

With Nigeria exploring the option of calling up the defender, Omole should be taking a hard look at himself and decide whether staying at Tottenham is right for his career after two years with the club and no senior minutes.

Indeed, Omole is at a crucial period of his career where he should be playing regular football, and for the youngster, he should reject Tottenham’s contract offer for the betterment of his career.
