Paris Saint-Germain are pushing to sign Mallorca playmaker Lee Kang-in amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur could now miss out on signing Lee Kang-in with Paris Saint-Germain thought to be closing in.
That is according to a report from Foot Mercato, who claim that Lee is ‘close’ to committing to PSG.
The Ligue 1 champions have already snapped up Marco Asensio whilst Sporting midfielder Manuel Ugarte is on his way in.
PSG are now turning to Lee as their next target with a fee of €22million (£19million) mentioned by reporter Santi Aouna, along with an imminent medical.
Lee, formerly of Valencia, bagged six goals and seven assists in 36 appearances for Mallorca this season.
The 22-year-old was once touted as a future star but has taken a little while to get there.
Valencia academy director Luis Vicente Mateo told Goal in 2019 that he felt Lee was an ‘outstanding talent’ – but it didn’t work out there in the end.
A move to PSG would cement Lee as a real talent and may leave Tottenham a little disappointed.

Tottenham Hotspur set to miss out on Lee Kang-in
Spanish newspaper AS reported in May that Tottenham had joined the race to sign Lee.
It was suggested that Spurs had been following Lee ‘closely’ in the hope of a summer move.
Tottenham’s transfer plans have been slightly delayed having not yet replaced Fabio Paratici and only just appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new boss.

Tottenham need a playmaker this summer and Leicester City’s James Maddison appears to be a prime target.
Lee is much, much cheaper than Maddison though and the prospect of him joining up with South Korea teammate Son Heung-min appears to have been dashed.
That may be a blow for Spurs, but it will all be forgotten about if they can secure the signing of a player like Maddison.
