Tottenham could be set to strengthen the squad with the transfer window drawing to a close

Jose Mourinho could be set to bring Nikola Maksimovic to London.
The Napoli defender has struggled for game time this season, making just six appearances for the Serie A side.
29-year-old Maksimovic, who has been capped 25 times by Serbia, is out of contract in the summer.
The centre-back joined Napoli from Torino in 2016, and has made a total of 78 appearances for Gli Azzurri.

According to a report from Spazio Napoli, Maksimovic is one of five or six defenders being considered by Tottenham during the January window, which ends on Monday night.
They also credit Lazio with an interest in the player.
West Ham and Fulham were both linked with the player earlier this season, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Serie A club value him at between £14m and £19m.
Maksimovic’s contract expires in June.
Mourinho, however, played down expectations of a late signing as he looked ahead to Thursday night’s encounter with Liverpool.
As quoted by Football London, he replied to a question about the likelihood of players leaving or arriving by saying before the window closes by saying: “Don’t think so. Honestly I don’t think so.
“As I was saying before, the transfer is window open and anything can happen until the last second. I’m convinced nothing is going to happen.

“If something happened it would be a huge surprise for me.”
On the Liverpool loss of form that’s will see Tottenham leapfrog them into sixth with a victory, Mourinho said: “Every club, especially the traditional top six, has this situation.
“Not one team started with winning and is still winning after 19 matches and a few months of competition. Everyone has a difficult period.
“Some early, some later, some in the middle.
“Great evolution in the considered historically below level team and ambitions, great performances from many of them. Very good teams, very good squads.
“I feel completely natural that some results happen. And then Liverpool had a period where the results are not going in their direction.
“But the coach is the same, the players are the same and the team is the same.”
