Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to pay £20 million for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing David Raya from Premier League rivals Brentford.

Chelsea are also keen on signing the Spain international goalkeeper, described as “a top-class goalkeeper” by former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen on Premier League Productions (06/03/23 at 7:35 pm),

The report has claimed that Brentford want £40 million for Raya, but Tottenham believe that £20 million is a more realistic price and are willing to pay it.

Yes, there is speculation that Raya wants to leave Brentford at the end of the season.

However, the 27-year-old has a contract with the Bees.

And Brentford are not going to just sell the goalkeeper on the cheap.

Now, of course, Tottenham may not want to pay £40 million for Raya, but we do not think that the Bees will part company with the “incredible” goalkeeper for just £20 million.

It is very likely that Tottenham and Brentford will have to come to a compromise over the transferee.
