According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are interested in signing Norwich maestro Emiliano Buendía – Arsenal and Aston Villa are also keen.

Sky Sports add that the Canaries value their talisman somewhere in the region of £35 million to £40 million, so he won’t come cheap.

You might argue that’s a lot to pay for a player coming from the Championship. However, his form has justified that sum.

The Argentine playmaker has enjoyed the season of his career this term, as he helped Norwich secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

Incredibly, Buendía recorded 31 goal involvements on his own.

Norwich’s No.17 scored 15 goals and provided 16 assists in 39 Championship appearances.

Interestingly, we could have a north London battle on our hands.

As aforesaid, Arsenal are also keen on the South American, and they have been since January.

Eurosport revealed back in March that the Gunners will make an offer for the 24-year-old this summer.

Buendía’s efforts haven’t just attracted Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace, Leeds and West Ham are also keen on the man who just made the Championship look easy.

It comes as no surprise whatsoever to see so many Premier League clubs keen on Norwich’s playmaker – he has been quite incredible this term.

Daniel Farke admitted that Norwich might not be able to reject ‘crazy’ offers for their star players this summer, including the man he once called ‘fantastic‘ in Buendía.

Sky Sports quote him as saying: “We have to be realistic. We are a self-funding club and will always have to develop our players.

“Sometimes you also have to accept if a player has outgrown the club, then there is a solution. We had this in the past with James Maddison when, without the transfer fee, it would have been difficult to keep the club going.”

Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems like Norwich face a serious battle to keep their star man in Norfolk ahead of the 2021/22 season.
