According to Foot Mercato, Crystal Palace have now entered the race to sign Norwich maestro Emiliano Buendía.
The French news outlet claim that the Eagles want the Argentine playmaker along with West Ham and Aston Villa.
Elsewhere, The Athletic revealed that Victor Orta – Director of Football at Leeds – has liked Buendía for ages.
The Independent added that Leeds have wanted the South American for a while.
Now, Roy Hodgson’s side have entered the race, and it’s no surprise that they’ve been alerted to the 24-year-old’s abilities.
In 38 Championship appearances this season, Buendía has scored 14 goals while also recording 16 assists – a remarkable amount of goal involvements.
His efforts saw him named as the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season.
In truth, it would’ve been criminal for anyone else to win it.
In our view, it will be hard to prise Buendía away from Carrow Road now.
Norwich have just secured an immediate return to the Premier League, after winning the Championship title.
In that respect, Daniel Farke will undoubtedly want his best players to stay, as Norwich look to survive a season in the Premier League for once.
The Canaries will surely make it very difficult for others to take their talismanic South American maestro, to say the least.
