According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham have now joined the race to sign Youssef En-Nesyri, who is also wanted by Liverpool and West Ham.
What’s the story?
Well, the Spanish news outlet were focusing on the news that Sevilla’s No.15 hopes to join a big club when they made the claim about Tottenham.
Up until this point, the north Londoners haven’t been mentioned as one of the clubs interested in En-Nesyri.
Mostly, it’s West Ham who have been pursuing the 35-cap Morocco international.
David Moyes saw a £27m bid rejected for the 24-year-old’s services back in January, but the Hammers are still keeping an eye on the forward.
Liverpool are also said to be keen – it comes as no surprise to see three Premier League clubs fighting for his signature.
En-Nesyri scored 24 goals last season, including six Champions League strikes.
Tottenham should steer clear

If Tottenham are eyeing En-Nesyri as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, they should steer clear.
Why? Well, despite his fantastic efforts last season, the campaign before was a little bit underwhelming – he only scored ten goals.
The danger here is that Spurs do not want to sign a one-season wonder, like they did when bringing many of those to N17 with the Gareth Bale money.

Roberto Soldado had just enjoyed a good season in La Liga before joining Tottenham.
As did Erik Lamela in Serie A – however, they hadn’t displayed that form consistently beforehand, and they were found out in the Premier League.
Simply put, Daniel Levy can’t afford to make the same mistakes.
