Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur is beginning to hot up.
On Monday, Sky Sports reported that Everton were expecting a bid from Spurs for their marquee Brazilian attacker.
Hours later, the same publication then added that Tottenham not only wanted Richarlison, but also Everton teammate Anthony Gordon.
According to The Mirror, the Lilywhites are set to hold talks over the next 48 hours.
And Football London has this afternoon reported that Tottenham are growing increasingly confident that they can sign the South American forward.
The report adds that Richarlison’s versatility is a big appeal to Spurs manager Antonio Conte, given that the former Watford star can play anywhere across the front three.
This would be an excellent addition.
Richarlison, who earns £90,000 per week at Goodison Park, is a proven Premier League player and that will ensure he hits the ground running in North London.
Well, in theory.
Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to signings, but there’s definitely an excellent chance of him enjoying a swift transition to life under Conte, particularly given how many South American and native Portuguese-speaking players Spurs have in their ranks.
Things like that certainly matter and external factors, along with Richarlison’s experience, should make it a seemless transition.
If he does indeed join Tottenham, of course.
