Tottenham want to sign Richarlison and Everton are trying to stand firm on their asking price despite their need for quick cash.

Tottenham have quite the front line already with Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski becoming something of a three-headed monster.

Yet Steven Bergwijn looks set to move on this summer and Kane will need support through the middle given Tottenham’s busy schedule.

A striker who can also play out wide would be ideal for Tottenham and they are prioritising signing one in Richarlison.

Tottenham want to sign Richarlison

Richarlison has been linked with Tottenham for weeks, given that UOL Esporte reported on June 11th that talks were advanced.

Nothing has materialised just yet but Tottenham appear to have made Richarlison their top attacking target.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been keen on Richarlison too but the path seems to be clearing.

Arsenal are signing Gabriel Jesus whilst Chelsea are going for Raphinha as the London elite chase Brazilian attackers.

That would leave Richarlison clear to join Tottenham although Everton are standing firm over their valuation.

The Mirror claim that Everton will continue to demand £60million despite concerns over the club’s financial position.

It’s stated that Everton need to raise funds to balance the books by June 30th – which just happens to be tomorrow.

If Everton don’t have cash coming into the club by then, the Premier League may take action.

A points deduction or an imposed budget are mentioned for Everton, as is the restriction of new players being registered – much like Barcelona are still battling through.

It’s suggested that respective chairmen Bill Kenwright and Daniel Levy met for dinner on Monday, and you would imagine that transfers were at least mentioned.

Tottenham are now expected to continue talks in the next 48 hours as they look to benefit from Everton’s financial problems; the clock is ticking and Tottenham will hope to accelerate their move for Richarlison at a reduced price.
