Tottenham Hotspur are still keen on signing Schalke winger Max Meyer, according to The Sun.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is still an admirer of the attacker despite a disappointing season at Schalke in which he scored just one goal and provided one assist.
Meyer has only one year left on his current contract and Spurs could still get him for a knockdown price.

German newspaper BILD linked Meyer with a £38 million swoop back on deadline day, while The Sun‘s current report estimates his transfer value at £30 million.
Meyer’s poor season and expiring contract has seen his valuation dip beyond that, with BILD suggesting in April that he could be sold for just £17 million.

As HITC Sport reported this week, Tottenham’s window of opportunity to get Meyer at a knock down price could be closing.
Meyer is back enhancing his reputation at the European under-21 championships with Germany, where he scored in their opening game.
He also told German magazine Kicker that he is keen to speak with Schalke’s new manager, and is not closing the door on signing a new contract, merely stating that he has not done so yet.
Meyer has already represented Germany’s senior team and as The Sun suggest, could see a move to Spurs as a way to enhance his World Cup prospects.
Schalke are not in any European competitions next season and Tottenham have Champions League football on offer to tempt him with.
