According to Bild, Tottenham Hotspur have already initiated contact over a summer deal for RB Leipzig ace Marcel Sabitzer.
It’s claimed that Sabitzer has decided he doesn’t want to renew his contract with Leipzig, ahead of his deal expiring next summer.
Sabitzer doesn’t have a release clause, but Leipzig are looking for a huge €42million (£36million) for their captain.
Tottenham are allegedly ‘75% likely’ to sign Sabitzer, and engineered talks over a move during the January window.
The move hinges on Dele Alli leaving for Paris Saint-Germain though, meaning Spurs could miss out – and Liverpool are noted as a potential suitor.
The report states that Liverpool want to rebuild this summer, and Sabizter is an option to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s midfield as his contract winds down.

Sabitzer, 27, has notched seven goals and six assists in all competitions this season, whilst his versatility to play centrally or on the right flank is hugely appealing, whilst Fabrizio Romano recently branded him ‘a fighter’ – something that may be ideal for Jose Mourinho.
Spurs have fancied Sabitzer for a while now, but the threat of Liverpool may leave Jose Mourinho and co a little concerned.
