According to a report in Eurosport this morning, Leeds United could still sign Sergio Aguero on a free transfer, despite interest from Chelsea and Barcelona.

It has been reported that Leeds, Chelsea, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing the Manchester City striker in the summer of 2021, while Independiente have made him a huge offer.

The report has added that although the 32-year-old’s plan has always been to go back to Independiente, the profile of Leeds would appeal to the Argentina international, who wants to join a club where he will play regular first-team football.

Blockbuster Leeds United signing

Aguero has had injury problems and has not played much this season, but he is one of the best strikers the Premier League has ever seen.

True, there have been signs that the 32-year-old is not the player he was at his peak, but the Argentina international still remains a striker who will score a lot of goals.

Patrick Bamford is the number one striker at Leeds, but the Englishman needs support and more competition.

Bringing in Aguero would take Leeds to another level, and the 32-year-old would be a blockbuster signing for the West Yorkshire club.
