Chris Sutton has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:55pm, April 12, 2021) that Leeds United need to sign a striker to give Patrick Bamford a break.
The former Chelsea striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, believes that Bamford could do with a break given the way Leeds play.
Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:55pm, April 12, 2021): “We have spoken about many times here how important Patrick Bamford is to the Leeds lineup.
“Maybe they need another striker who they can put in, who Bielsa trusts, just to give Bamford a break with the intensity of the game.”
Signing a new striker
Bamford is the number one striker at Leeds, and although Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts can also play upfront, neither is the exact type of player.
The former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker has been superb for Leeds so far this season and has been banging in the goals for fun.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old – who cost Leeds £7 million in transfer fees the they signed him from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018, as reported by Sky Sports – has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 31 Premier League games for the West Yorkshire club so far this season.
If Leeds want to challenge for the European places in the Premier League table this season or even finish in the top 10, then a new number nine should be on their summer transfer wishlist.
