Swansea City are leading the race to sign Wilfried Bony.

Last week, Wales Online reported that Manchester City had rejected Swansea’s opening bid for the Ivory Coast striker.
The report claimed that the Swans had offered £10 million for the 28-year-old, but it was rejected straightaway.

Manchester City have been holding out for a fee in the region of £13m for a striker they signed in 2015 for £28m, as reported by BBC.
Bony has struggled at City and has scored only six Premier League goals in 36 games. He joined Stoke City on loan last season, and had cut a sorrow figure as well.
The Mirror now reports that Swansea are willing to match City’s asking price, and will submit a £13 million offer for their former striker.

Valencia, Marseille and Spartak Moscow have shown an interest in Bony, and are even willing to meet City’s asking price, but the player prefers a move to the Liberty Stadium.
Paul Clement desperately needs to bolster his attacking set up, and the Swansea board will back him with a new bid before the window closes.
