There was reportedly a ‘surprise’ player in Mikel Arteta’s training session at Arsenal on Wednesday afternoon.

Arteta put his Arsenal players through their paces ahead of tonight’s North London derby away to Tottenham Hotspur.

Victory would see the Gunners qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2016, with the Emirates Stadium outfit four points ahead of Spurs with three games remaining at the moment.

And according to Football London, a certain Karl Hein was included in yesterday’s session at London Colney.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper had his loan at Reading terminated earlier in 2022 due to a finger injury.

And Football London report that he was a ‘surprise’ inclusion in Arteta’s session for that reason, with the player seemingly recovering quicker than expected.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, though, there were some absentees at Colney, too.

Ben White is a doubt to face Spurs due to injury and Jonathan Dinzeyi – who stands at 6’4 – was photographed in the session, as covered by HITC Sport earlier on Thursday.

Will Arsenal finish in the top four?

Well, they’re definitely the form horses.

Arsenal have won four Premier League games in succession, including victories away to Chelsea, West Ham United and home to Manchester United.

Arteta has inspired an exceptional run of form at exactly the right time and hopefully for the Gunners, they can extend that form tonight by sealing a top-four finish.
