What a story it could be for Arsenal talent Jonathan Dinzeyi if he is named in the squad for tonight’s visit to Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal have a massive North London derby with Spurs later on today.
Victory would see the Gunners guarantee themselves a top-four finish and, in the process, qualify for the Champions League.
Not only that, but Tottenham would be the team who they beat to this feat if they pick up three points against Antonio Conte’s outfit, adding a lot more spice to the encounter.
Mikel Arteta put his troops through their paces at London Colney on Wednesday and Dinzeyi was again involved.
The 22-year-old defender was photographed in Arteta’s session before the visit of Leeds United last weekend but didn’t wind up making the matchday squad.
The towering centre-back will, however, absolutely love if he makes the squad tonight.
That’s because the big man – who stands at 6’4 – came through Tottenham’s academy and crossed the North London divide back in 2020.
Dinzeyi hasn’t yet made his senior debut for the Gunners but, with Ben White injured for tonight, it’ll be interesting to see if Arteta includes him among the substitutes.
Here’s a couple of photographs of the player in training:
