Sunderland, Norwich City, Derby County and Barnsley are said to have received a negative response from Field’s club West Bromwich Albion.

Sunderland, Norwich City, Derby County and Barnsley have received a negative response from West Bromwich Albion after attempts to sign Sam Field on loan, according to the Express & Star.
As reported by HITC Sport on Tuesday, Sunderland, Norwich and Derby were all chasing temporary deals for the teenage West Brom midfielder.
The Express & Star reports, however, that Field will not be joining either club – nor Barnsley – during the January transfer window.
It is claimed that Baggies boss Alan Pardew wants to keep the academy product within his first team – despite having failed to use him in eight of his 10 games in charge at The Hawthorns.

Field has played just 17 times since turning professional, however, that has not deterred a string of Football League clubs from taking an interest – Sunderland, Norwich, Derby and Barnsley being the latest.
The Lincolnshire-born player has Gareth Barry, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Jake Livermore, Claudio Yacob and James Morrison for company in the West Brom midfield.
Who should Sunderland / Norwich City / Derby County / Barnsley target instead of the West Bromwich Albion talent?
