HITC Sport understands that the West Bromwich Albion youngster is a loan target for Sunderland, Norwich City and Derby County.

Derby County, Norwich City and Sunderland are chasing West Bromwich Albion midfielder Sam Field on loan, HITC Sport understands.

Field started Alan Pardew’s first two games in charge of West Brom, but he has only had a late cameo in the FA Cup win over Exeter since the 1-0 defeat to fellow relegation rivals Swansea City in December.

The 19-year-old, who made his debut for the club in the final game of the 2015/16 season, has made six starts in the Premier League so far this season and he is highly regarded within the corridors of power at The Hawthorns.

Field scored his first goal for the club in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle but, with West Brom mired in a relegation battle, he could find his first-team opportunities limited in the second half of the season.

The news of his possible availability on loan has alerted a number of Championship clubs, who would all love to take the England Under-20 international on a temporary basis.

Promotion-chasing Derby, Norwich and relegation-threatened Sunderland are understood to have made enquiries to West Brom about signing Field on loan.

It remains to be seen if Pardew would be willing to loan out Field, as he has does not want to leave himself short in midfield having so far failed to bring in a new players during this month’s transfer window.
