According to Soccer News, Everton might have a good opportunity to sign Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirkzee this summer.

The 19-year-old was the subject of an £8.9 million bid from the Toffees in January, with Carlo Ancelotti keen to sign him.

However, Zirkzee chose to join Parma on loan.

Voetbal International claim that he did so because he felt he would get more game-time with the Italian side.

However, the teenager has only managed to make four Serie A appearances, in which he’s failed to score or assist a goal.

In fairness, he did suffer a serious injury.

Now, this is where Everton come into it.

Bayern Munich are said to be happy with Eric Choupo-Moting as Robert Lewandowski’s understudy, according to Soccer News.

This means Zirkzee will be third choice when he returns to the Allianz Arena.

Seeing as he left for Parma in search of game-time, that surely won’t please the Dutchman.

As a result, Everton could now come back in and get their man.

If the Toffees can pull this deal off at the second time of asking, they’ll have a fine prospect on their hands.

The Daily Mail likened Zirkzee to Lewandowski, citing his powerful 6ft 3in frame as a comparable characteristic to the lethal Polish striker.

By the looks of it, this deal is extremely possible for Everton this summer.
