According to The Sun, Stoke City are waiting for Arsenal to make a move for defender Nathan Collins.
It’s claimed that Burnley want a new centre back and have tried again for Collins having tried to sign him previously.
Stoke want a big fee though, and rather than just sell him to Burnley, they’re hoping for other clubs to come in and form something of a bidding war.
Arsenal are one of the clubs they’re hoping make a move, with Crystal Palace and Manchester United two other clubs thought to be in the race.
The Sun reported Arsenal’s interest earlier this year having impressed with Stoke, but it’s unclear whether the Gunners are still keen.
Collins, 20, is a huge presence at 6ft 4in tall, and has shown real promise since joining the Potters from Cherry Orchard in 2016.

Stoke youth coach Richard Walker told The42 earlier this year that he thinks Harry Maguire is a fair comparison for Collins, tipping him for big things.
Arsenal are looking for a new centre back, but whether a young prospect like Collins may not exactly be what fans are hoping for right now.
