According to Estadio Deportivo, Leicester City are making a move to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Florian Thauvin.
It’s claimed that the Foxes have offered Thauvin a deal worth around £58,000-a-week as they look to lure the Marseille winger to the King Power Stadium.
However, Thauvin wants a little more money with his next contract, and he feels he is in a position to demand it given that he will be a free agent this summer.
Leicester face a real battle, as Sevilla, Roma and Napoli are all interested, whilst Tottenham Hotspur want to bring him to England too
Thauvin, 28, has bagged nine goals and seven assists across all competitions this season, and looks set to leave Marseille.
As a right-sided winger who cuts inside onto his left foot, Thauvin could be seen as a replacement for Gareth Bale at Tottenham or Cengiz Under at Leicester – both are on loan until the summer.

Thauvin has previously had a spell in England with Newcastle United, but he only managed one goal and three assists in 16 games.
Thauvin has hit back, becoming a star in France whilst being branded ‘extraordinary’ in terms of his creativity by Andre Villas-Boas.
The 2018 World Cup winner will appeal given his free agent status, but it currently looks like Leicester are ahead of Spurs in the race.
