Tottenham have dug in their heels further over Harry Kane with the club reportedly unwilling to transfer the striker to any Premier League side.
According to the Athletic, Spurs’ position on their star striker is that they will not sell him this window to an English rival ‘under any circumstances’.
The club took a similar approach with Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, who both left for Real Madrid.
Kane caused shockwaves in the transfer market this week when the England captain failed to show up for training at Hotspur Way.
As reported by Sky Sports News, the striker was due to return to pre-season training this Monday. However, the attacker never appeared.
Manchester City are chasing the 28-year-old striker. Pep Guardiola’s side are eager to sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero this window.

And this decision from Kane to skip training seems like a tactic to push for a move to the Premier League champions.
As per the Athletic, Kane spoke to a senior non-English Manchester City player before Monday’s rebellion to inform him of his desire to join the Cityzens.
Moreover, some figures at City were made aware over the weekend that Kane intends not to train or play for Spurs again.

It will be an interesting week in the Premier League transfer window. And one that could define the futures of both City and Tottenham in the division.
If Kane can push for a transfer away from Spurs, it could have a seismic effect on English football.
