For years, the right-back position has been a real problem area for Tottenham Hotspur.
In fact, you could seriously argue that Spurs haven’t been able to replace Kyle Walker yet – and he left over five years ago.
Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal have all looked less than adequate replacements for the now-Manchester City star, who has won a string of Premier League titles since leaving Tottenham.
However, it looks like Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are trying to strengthen that position in January.

According to 90 Min, the Lilywhites are ‘keeping an eye’ on a number of right-backs ahead of the winter transfer window.
The report claims that Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters – sold by Tottenham for £12 million two years ago [Mail] – is on the radar, as is Max Aarons of Norwich City who has recently attracted interest from Manchester United, with the Sun claiming last week that the Red Devils are interested in him.
Walker-Peters, in particular, has really blossomed since leaving North London, you have to say.
And considering he’s still only 25, and proven in the Premier League at this stage, it’ll be fascinating to see if a return to Tottenham could seriously be on the cards for him.
As for Aarons, the 22-year-old has managed 19 Championship appearances this season.
He is someone who has long been linked to other clubs and time will tell if Conte’s side is a genuine possibility for him.
