Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rekindled their interest in Rennes midfielder Lovro Majer.
Jeunes Footeux – via Sport Witness – claim Spurs are ‘keeping a close eye’ on the player’s performances.
Tottenham are ‘interested’ in Majer and his club are ‘open to an exit’ in the summer transfer window.

Links between Spurs and the 25-year-old go back a while, with reports doing the rounds in 2021.
However, Majer is now struggling for regular starts, while Tottenham will likely look to revamp their squad in summer.
As per JF, the Croatia international is going through a somewhat ‘difficult period’ this season at the club.
He has had to make do with a rotational role, with just 13 starts in 27 games in Ligue 1 this term.
Rennes are ‘clearly open’ to a transfer happening, according to the report.
They have apparently set an initial target of €30-35m (£26.5-31m).
However, they may have to lower their demands due to Majer’s lack of game time.
This has not put off the likes of Spurs, who still see him as a ‘talented and promising player’ and are ‘willing to invest’.
Besides, Majer’s price tag was reportedly a lot higher earlier this season.
Foot Mercato claimed that Rennes valued their player at €60m (around £53m) a few months ago.
Our view
If Tottenham sign a Croatian midfielder, the likelihood is that there will be comparisons to Spurs legend Luka Modric.
Majer is no stranger to this, though. He has been compared to Modric for some time, even admitting it’s ‘nice’ to hear such things.

The reported Spurs target has also earned comparisons with the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Houssem Aouar, as per the Ligue 1 website.
This summer could be the best opportunity for Tottenham to finally make their move for Majer.
The ‘elegant’ midfielder no longer has such a prominent role in the Rennes squad, seems available for cheap and, at 25, he’s heading into his peak years.
