Marc Cucurella to Tottenham Hotspur?
Well, Tottenham Hotspur might not have to pay a fortune for Cucurella after all.
Last week, The Sun reported that Spurs or London rivals Chelsea would have to pay around £45 million to lure the Spanish left-back from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
However, a new report from Spain has suggested he’s available for less than that.
Much less than that.
According to Eldesmarque, the 23-year-old can actually be signed for as little as £25 million in a development which is bound to make ears perk up at Tottenham.
That’s £20 million less than what the English publication reported the Seagulls want for him and no doubt it’ll interest Spurs if he really is available for cheaper than expected.
Cucurella only has a couple years experience in the Premier League, but he’s definitely the real deal.
Ask any Arsenal fan who their most underrated player of last season was and they’ll probably tell you Takehiro Tomiyasu, who joined last summer.
Well, the Japan international was given a ‘torrid time’ by Cucurella in an Arsenal – Brighton game last term and that illustrates that the latter is a serious problem for English defences.

Cucurella to Tottenham Hotspur will be a difficult transfer to get done, particularly if he’s genuinely this cheap.
That’s because Chelsea and Manchester City are also rumoured to be in the race but, if Spurs get him, what a stellar signing that is.
