According to Sport1, Tottenham and Newcastle have made contact with RB Salzburg over the signing of Karim Adeyemi.

What’s the story?

Well, the queue for this 19-year-old sensation just got a little bit bigger, as Tottenham and Newcastle join Liverpool in the race.

Sport1 believe Adeyemi is valued at €35m (£29.7m), with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also keen.

It’s safe to say this teenage sensation is quite the player.

The 3-cap Germany international has already scored 14 goals this season in just 21 appearances, while also providing two assists.

Impressively, three of those goals have come in just four Champions League outings.

What could Karim Adeyemi bring to Tottenham or Newcastle?

Well, you may not know too much about Adeyemi given his age, and the fact he plays his football over in Austria.

In that respect, a comparison might be helpful.

Interestingly, Adeyemi has been likened to Borussia Dortmund and Norway marksman Erling Braut Håland.

The German actually moved to quash this comparison, as he intends to make his own name in football rather than become Håland 2.0.

It has also been said that Adeyemi is better than Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, who the Blues paid a huge £71m for.

If Tottenham can bring Adeyemi to Hotspur Way under Antonio Conte, he could easily strike up a deadly partnership with Harry Kane.

In Newcastle’s case, this would be an incredible way to kickstart the revolution on Tyneside – Adeyemi and Callum Wilson would cause major problems for opponents.
