The transfer window has been buzzing with rumours and speculations, and one of the most talked-about moves is the imminent arrival of Pedro Porro to Tottenham on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Bruno Andrade is now reporting that the player’s medical is currently underway, which is a sign that the move is very close to completion.

Porro, who currently plays for Sporting CP, has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent months, and after reports emerged that talks had hit a snag on Monday, Spurs finally seem to be closing in on this signing.

The ‘special‘ wing-back has been in impressive form for Sporting CP, attracting attention from several top clubs across Europe, but Spurs have now won the race for his signature.

Porro is set to sign a contract until 2028 that will come into effect properly at the end of the season when his loan move becomes permanent.

Tottenham manager, Antonio Conte, has been in the market for a new right-wint-back, and Porro seems to fit the bill. The North London club has struggled in this position, with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty both underperforming in recent months.

Djed Spence was signed in the summer. However, the young English defender has struggled to get a game under Conte and is now set to head out on loan.

Porro was expected to sign permanently, but now he is due to arrive on an initial loan. This type of deal could help the club to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations while also freeing up some cash for further signings.

We may just be hours away from an official announcement about Porro joining Spurs, and who knows? Perhaps he could even make his debut this weekend against his former club Manchester City.
